Online Library for Members

Access to the Library: SOCL Club members  are given a User ID and Password, members of CLA receive basic SOCL membership and a Library Card as part of their membership fee.

Articles on Scottish History, Clan History and Clan Experiences outside Scotland: "clan lachlan" magazine: This has been published in black and white twice a year for the last 27 years. The CD is updated with each issue of the magazine so that a new member joining and also donating for a CD would have all the back issues of the magazine. The Library now publishes the  color version of the magazine . Owners of a Library Card  can read or print the color magazine.

E Books: It is planned to produce  E books from the archives; there is enough material in the archives  for at least the next 10 years. The first E Book  was the "Kilmorie Chapel Dedication", the second was "History of the Chiefs"   The E books will be illustrated in full color and  can be downloaded to file, read and  printed out sequentially. The reading experience on a monitor is significantly improved if one uses the Adobe E Book Reader which is available on the CD.

Newsletters from Around the World

Each Branch of the Clan  Society has its own newsletter  to reflect regional interests. It is planned to have all newsletters in the Library. We start with the Canadian newsletter "Rowan Tree"
